Information we collect

We only collect what we need to quote and deliver the work:

• Contact details you give us — your name, phone number and email address.
• Property details — the service address, the rooflines and features you want lit, gate and access notes, and photographs of the property taken in the course of quoting, installing or servicing your display.
• Job and payment records — quotes, invoices, deposits and payments. Card payments are handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
• Basic website information — the pages you visit and how you arrived, used to understand which advertising works. This includes advertising and analytics cookies, such as the Meta (Facebook) pixel, which tells us that someone who saw one of our advertisements later asked us for a quote. It does not tell us who you are, and we do not use it to build a profile of you. You can block these cookies in your browser settings without affecting the quote form.

How we use it

• To prepare and send your quote and design.
• To schedule, install, service, take down and store your display.
• To contact you about your job, including service visits and weather changes.
• To contact you ahead of the following season about renewing, if you are an existing customer.
• To keep the records a business is required to keep, including for tax.

Text messages

If you check the consent box on our quote form, or otherwise agree, you consent to receive text messages from Palm & Pine Holiday Lighting at the number you gave us. These messages relate to your quote, your appointment, service visits and your account.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase.

Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving messages, or HELP for help. You can also ask us to stop by calling or emailing us using the details below. We honour opt-out requests promptly.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Email

We send quotes, invoices and job information by email. If we send you seasonal or promotional email, every message carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops the marketing email without affecting messages about work we are actually doing for you.

Who else sees your information

We share information only with the service providers who help us run the business — our scheduling and invoicing software, our payment processor, our email and text messaging providers, and our accountant — and only to the extent they need it to do that work. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal information.

Photographs of your home

We photograph the property before work begins to record its existing condition, and we photograph finished displays. We will not use a recognisable photograph of your home in advertising unless you have agreed to it separately. If you have agreed and later change your mind, tell us and we will stop using it.

How long we keep it

We keep customer and job records for as long as you are a customer and for as long afterwards as tax and legal requirements demand. You can ask us to delete information we are not required to keep.

Your choices

• Ask what we hold about you, and ask us to correct it.
• Ask us to delete what we are not required to keep.
• Stop text messages by replying STOP, or email at any time using the unsubscribe link.

Children

This site and our services are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
