Terms & Conditions

About these terms
These terms apply to holiday lighting work carried out by Palm & Pine Holiday Lighting (“we”, “us”) for customers in the Jacksonville, Florida area. They form part of every quote we send. Where a signed agreement says something different, the signed agreement wins.
How we handle your information is covered separately in our Privacy Policy.
Quotes and pricing
- Every quote is measured at your property, not estimated from a price list.
- Pricing is valid for 7 days from the date issued. After that a new quote is required.
- A design mockup is a visual guide, not a photograph. Exact bulb placement and spacing follow your home’s real rooflines. What you receive is the items listed on your quote — if the mockup shows something you would like that is not on the list, ask and we will add it.
- Changes to scope after a quote is accepted may change the price. We will tell you before we do the work, not after.
Deposit and scheduling
- A 50% deposit is due when you accept your quote.
- Install dates are assigned in the order deposits are received, and confirmed to you in writing.
- The balance is due on completion of installation.
- Invoices unpaid 30 days after completion may carry a late fee of 1.5% per month on the outstanding balance.
What you are buying
This is a seasonal rental. Unless your quote explicitly states a purchase, all bulbs, wire, clips, greenery and mounting hardware remain the property of Palm & Pine Holiday Lighting at all times, and are removed at the end of the season.
Season and removal
- Your display is installed on the agreed date and removed between January 2 and January 31.
- Removal dates are scheduled by us based on route. We give notice before we arrive.
- Displays left up past January 31 at your request are subject to additional charges.
Service and maintenance
Maintenance is included for the whole time your display is installed. If something goes out, we fix it within 48 hours of being told, at no charge.
That covers normal use. Repairs needed because of storm damage, animals, landscaping or other contractors working on the property, handling of the display by anyone other than us, or interruption of power at your own panel are quoted separately.
No one else may alter or repair the display without our written consent. Work done by anyone else voids the included maintenance, and any repair we carry out afterwards is billable.
Access, power and what we need from you
- Working exterior power outlets on the circuits agreed when we measured.
- Clear access to the install areas on the scheduled day — gates unlocked, animals secured, vehicles moved.
- Personal items moved or secured before we arrive — yard decorations, furniture, planters and anything else in the work area.
- Electricity used by the display is your cost.
Return visits caused by locked gates, animals on site, blocked access or vehicles in the way are subject to a trip charge.
Height limit
We do not install above 30 feet. Any part of a property above that height is excluded from the quote, and we will tell you at the time of measuring if that affects your design.
Property condition and liability
Our methods are chosen to avoid damage to roofing, gutters, fascia and trim. We photograph the property before work begins to record its existing condition.
We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, or for the failure of deteriorated gutters, fascia, shingles or other mounting surfaces. If we see a condition that concerns us we will tell you before we proceed rather than work around it.
Weather
Installation and removal are rescheduled when conditions are unsafe, including wind, lightning and wet surfaces. We will contact you to rebook. Weather delays do not change your price.
Discounts
One discount applies per job — the largest one you qualify for. Discounts do not combine.
Cancellation
If you signed at your home rather than at our place of business, Florida law gives you the right to cancel until midnight of the third business day after signing, with no penalty. We give you written notice of that right, and a cancellation form, at the time of signing.
After that period, the 50% deposit is non-refundable. It reserves your install date on a season that cannot be re-sold once it has passed, and it funds materials cut and prepared specifically for your property.
If you cancel before installation, the deposit is retained and nothing further is owed. If you cancel after installation has begun, the full quoted amount is due.
If we are unable to perform the work for any reason within our control, your deposit is refunded in full.
Photographs and video
We photograph and film the property before, during and after the work — including behind-the-scenes footage of our crew — and we may use that material on our website, in advertising and on social media.
We never publish your street address or house number, we never say whose home it is, and we do not film inside your home. Anyone visible in the footage is asked first. If you would rather we did not use your home, tell us at any point and we will leave it out or take it down. It costs you nothing and does not change your price.
Insurance
Insured. Certificate available on request.
If something goes wrong
Tell us first. Most problems are fixed the same week by a phone call, and we would always rather hear about it than not. If we cannot resolve it between us, both sides agree to attempt mediation in Duval County, Florida before starting any legal action. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.

Changes to these terms
If we change these terms we will update the date at the top of this page. The version that applies to your job is the one in force on the date your quote was issued.
